Exxon/SABIC: What are the risks?

February 20, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Three experts will hold a community forum addressing the anticipated environmental impacts and health risks that our community will face if the proposed Exxon/SABIC petrochemical complex is built less than 1.5 miles from three GPISD schools.

Hosted by Portland Citizens United, the forum’s speakers will include Ilan Levin, Dr. Wes Stafford, and Neil Carman, PhD. Ilan Levin is an attorney who currently serves as the Associate Director of the Environmental Integrity Project. Neil Carman is a former air pollution control inspector for the Texas Air Control Board, a predecessor agency of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and has served as the Clean Air Director of the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club since 1992. Dr. Wes Stafford is a Corpus Christi allergist and immunologist.

After the presentations, attendees may ask questions. This public event is free. No reservations are required.
