An Environmental Disaster in the Making

So, the Port and the EDCs successfully promote the Exxon plant location. They now seek permits for two desalination facilities on La Quinta Channel and Harbor Island. And, they move to purchase 3,000 acres for new industry, ideally chemical plants. The land purchase will include direct access to McCampbell Slough and Port Bay. When industry locates here, they will determine where best to send their process and equipment stormwater and their industrial effluent, which will most likely match the quantity and contaminant levels of the Exxon facility. Mix this with two brine plumes from the desal plants. Perhaps a picture shows it best. Heads up folks!
