TCE Requests Contested Case Hearing on Exxon Air Permit

With the assistance of counsel from the Environmental Integrity Project, Texas Campaign for the Environment (TCE) filed a formal request seeking a hearing to challenge the air pollution permit for the proposed plastics plant backed by ExxonMobil and the SABIC.

TCE has members from Gregory and Portland and is standing with them against the dangerous air pollution, such as sulfuric acid mist and carcinogenic benzene, this plastics plant would bring to our coastal communities.

We urge all to support this effort by joining TCE and donating to the cause. If you or loved ones live close to the facility or have health issues that will be exacerbated by the proposed emissions of this facility, you could be an affected member. Children, the elderly, frail and disabled are particularly vulnerable to increased emissions. If you would like to join in the contested case, contact Robin Schneider at (512) 326-5655 no later than June 6.
